Branding case study
Hibana™
A spark for the brand that makes everyday objects feel new. Identity plus the website that launched it.

The brief
Hibana is a Yangon brand that elevates everyday items with technology, creativity, and sustainability. Their words: a home where innovative ideas come to life, from the drawing board to your doorstep. Their first move was a bold one, a new era of postcard, paper that comes alive through AR filters.
Hibana is Japanese for spark, so the identity is built on one. The spark glyph dots the i of the wordmark, scales up into a pattern, and stamps every surface the brand touches, from wrapping paper to pin badges.
The palette pairs Kombu Green with Soft Brown, calm and warm instead of loud and techy, because the whole point of the brand is making the mundane feel human again. The scope ran past identity into the launch website, coming soon pages for the AR filters included.
What we made

A wide technical grotesque that stays friendly at display size.

The spark pattern across wrapping paper, stickers, pin badges, and the tees.
Environment
Subway screens, the lightbox, and wayfinding on concrete.
Web design

The work

The receipt
Hibana shipped in 2024, identity and website both, art directed and designed by our founder Myat Htet Hlaing. The spark, the pattern, the merch, the site, all real, all above.
What Hibana does with the spark belongs to them. What this page proves about us: we can take a brand from the mark to the launch page without the thread snapping in between.
